Office Depot/Max stores are offering a $15 instant discount when you buy $300 in Visa gift cards. Valid Sunday through Saturday, 8/25-8/31. Just last week they had this on Mastercard, and this week on Visa. Normally you can do this deal multiple times in different transactions but YMMV based on cashier. $15 more than wipes out the activation fees
