As of about two weeks ago, Mastercard gift cards no longer work at Walmart to process them as debit cards. This is relevant for things like loading Bluebird/Serve and buying money orders. Keep this in mind for the various Mastercard gift card deals that come periodically. Hat tip to reader Jay
